Linux Preview

Welcome to to the preview of the Zivid API for Linux. This release includes the complete Zivid C++ API. It is distributed as Ubuntu deb packages. However, it has a minimal set of dependencies and is know to work on other distributions as well. The C++ API is the same as for the official Zivid 1.0.0 release, with some minor additions.

Requirements

  • C++11 compiler
  • x86-64 OS
  • 64bit GPU with OpenCL 1.2 support
  • OpenCL GPU drivers
  • ToshibaTeli driver (downloads below)

Updates

Updates will be published to this page. There is no update notification, check back here regularly for updates. Customers with known issues will be notified when a version fixes that issue.


Building and running the samples

All downloads are found at the bottom of this page.

$> unzip Samples.zip && cd Samples
$> mkdir build && cd build
$> cmake .. && make
$> ./SampleCapture

Troubleshooting

Make sure you are using the latest version of the preview.

OpenCL errors

Make sure clinfo lists at least one device. If more than one device is listed the Zivid code will select the most powerful one.


Bug reporting

Bugs should be reported to support@zivid.com.

Include the following information:

  • The content of ~/.cache/Zivid/Log/ as a zip archive
  • Exception messages
  • Stack traces
  • The output of
    • cat /etc/os-release
    • uname -mor
    • clinfo
    • lsusb
    • lspci
  • A minimal reproducible implementation if possible
