Employees have a flexible work week of 40 hours per week, including 30min paid lunch break. The hours are flexible, and you can choose to work more some days or periods and work shorter days or take an extra day off at a later stage. As long as you deliver and are present for meeting, we will not micromanage your time.
As a member of the National Insurance Scheme in Norway you are entitled to 49 weeks of parental leave. 18 weeks mandatory for mom, 15 weeks mandatory for dad and 16 weeks than can be shared between the parties at will. Parental leave is 100% paid. Zivid covers the difference between what the state covers and your fixed salary. You will get paid through Zivid as usual during all types of paid leave.
You are entitled to paid time off for caring for sick children (“omsorgsdager”). How many will depend on your family situation.

Zivid pays a defined contribution of 5% of your income to your pension fund (“innskuddsspensjon”). In addition to this the government pays an amount equivalent to 18.1% for salaries up to 7.1 G. (approximately 755K in 2021- this is a index regulated value that changes every year).
At Zivid you have 5 weeks (25) days of vacation each year. Your right to holiday is absolute, but your right to holiday pay is an earned right and calculated as 12% of last year's earnings. The holiday pay will be paid out instead of salary in June the following year. There are many ways to structure how and when we do this, so discuss your needs with HR.
In addition to the public holidays applicable in the country you are employed, all employees have Christmas Eve (December 24th) and New Year’s Eve (December 31st) as paid days off regardless of local regulations.
In Norway, you get paid sick leave from day 1. Zivid covers the difference between what the state covers and your fixed salary for the first 12 months. You will get paid through Zivid as usual during all types of paid leave.
Snakker du norsk? If you want to learn the national language, Zivid will support you financially. Compensation for completed Norwegian classes is granted for non-native Norwegian-speaking employees enrolled in courses during employment.

All employees will be offered a stock option agreement when signing a permanent employment contract with Zivid. In addition to stock options, all employees are welcome to invest in the company when we have capital rounds. As of today, we are 30%+ employee-owned.

Our cantina is awesome and in our opinion Oslo’s best. The food is homemade, healthy, freshly made, and varied, and the chefs cater to all diets and allergies.

Once a year, we gather all employees from all locations for a 4-days trip of fun and team building.
We enjoy each other's company on and off work. Our social committee organizes monthly events for people to mingle in addition to spontaneous movie nights, BBQs, and other celebrations.
We have weekly sporting activities such as climbing, running, cage ball, and squash. Everyone is encouraged to participate.
Once a year we have a week-long hackathon called Playtime where you get to work on a pet project of choice, culminating in a Friday party where everyone presents their successes and failures to the rest of the team.
